Does the question in the title seem strange to you?
If everything is fine with your accesses, everything is there, logins and passwords are saved, that’s great!
But I assure you that not everyone has it like this. Many still do not pay attention to the importance of having maximum access to all accounts and services that your business encounters.
Here are a couple of fresh examples from our practice to explain it to you.
Example one.
A client asked us to create a website. During the briefing, it turned out that the current site has outdated, irrelevant content, but the client does not have access.
Neither to the site admin.
Neither to hosting.
Not even to the domain.
Therefore, there is only one way out – to create a new site. On a new domain. Can you imagine?
When it was possible to simply do a point-by-point update of content, we were forced to create a new site.
Second example.
The client had a problem with email correspondence. Letters with addresses on the domain name stopped reaching the recipients.
The reason is an unconfigured SPF. Usually this is “cured” quickly and easily, and the client was very happy about it. Because the email communication channel is crucial for his business.
But “quickly and easily” did not work out this time.
Why? That’s right – due to the lack of access to the hosting and domain (I requested access to both, because it was not known where the domain mail was configured).
So, instead of half an hour, it took a week. While they were searching and waiting for access.
I did not ask how much the client lost due to the impossibility of normal communication…
So, the advice will be as follows.
Try to register any services with your contact details.
For example, let the developer register the same hosting and domain for the site to your email and phone. Or re-register it for you after the project is completed.
Then, even in the case of “I forgot my password”, it will not be difficult to restore it.
The same applies to all kinds of auxiliary services and tools.
Need to set up Google Analytics? You created an analytics account under your Google profile, gave access to a specialist for configuration, and you will not have any problems in the future.
Believe me, creating an account and providing access is easy and does not take long, even for complete beginners.
With advertising cabinets, the best option for you is when your advertising works from your cabinets. I mean that your account is the owner of this cabinet. And you already give access to the advertising specialist to the cabinet.
And not the other way around!
I know perfectly well that situations in this area are different, cabinets are blocked, sometimes forever. Then you have to implement some alternative options. And this is also acceptable.
But it is not the best. In such situations, I advise you to at least take care of obtaining full access to the cabinet. To be able to grant access to it, restore it in case of blocking, etc.
And one more thing.

So that later you don’t have unnecessary problems in a hurry.
